As you can see, my family takes Halloween very seriously. When you have five kids, dressing up for the holidays becomes a whole ordeal that is highly coordinated and always on theme (usually one with multiple characters to cover for the amount of people in my family).
The last two years, we decided to go with Toy Story, which worked perfectly not only because the kids LOVED the movies, but because of how many awesome characters we could choose from.
Before that, we wen’t as minions with my husband as Gru. This one was so easy and fun, but I will say Mark looked a little creepy in that Gru mask. Effective, but creepy!
My last favorite from four years ago was our Curious George theme. Again, super simple, plus VERY comfortable for the kids and they felt right at home dressed up as monkeys. Mom’s you know what I mean!
This year, since my kids are getting a bit older, they wanted to go as Star Wars characters. I am super excited for this one! Not only are my kids going to feel like awesome Jedi heroes, but I can’t wait to rock the Princess Leia costume with my handsome Jedi knight by my side.
I’d love to hear what you guys are going as this year? Do you usually coordinate with a loved one or the whole family? Are you doing a DIY costume? Let me know!!
For any of you who are doing some last minute Halloween costume shopping, I’ve linked some of my favorites in the image below. Plus, they’re ALL on Amazon!! So you know they’ll get to you in time.
Hope you all have a very Happy Halloween!!
